CAPE TOWN

Day 1 - 4

Overlooked by the spectacular Table Mountain, Cape Town is a modern and multicultural city home to a melting pot of cultures and breathtaking landscape. Although known for its natural wonders, Cape Town is a buzzing metropolis with vibrant nightlife, diverse cuisine and a huge creative scene - having been named a World Design Capital in 2014. Despite its long and troubled history, nowadays Cape Town offers a relaxed environment where visitors can enjoy this laid-back city and take advantage of its many attractions.

KNYSNA

Day 4 - 6

A popular stop on South Africa’s scenic Garden Route, Knysna is a picturesque town nestled between mountains and bays, surrounded by a stunning blue lagoon and indigenous green forests which extend into the Tsitsikamma National Park. Knysna is also home to a thriving arts scene, and hosts various festivals throughout the year. Perhaps the town’s most popular event is its 10 day Oyster festival held each summer, drawing in both local and international visitors to celebrate the local delicacy.

JOHANNESBURG

Day 6 - 8

South Africa’s largest city is an urban, fast-paced metropolis which has undergone rapid redevelopment in recent years. The economic hub of the country and the gateway for international visitors, Johannesburg is bursting with energy. Learn about South Africa’s troubled past at the Apartheid Museum, or visit the upcoming and trendy Maboneng district before taking refuge in one of the city’s green areas such as the Botanical Gardens. Despite the wealth inequality, Johannesburg is a friendly and welcoming city which offers something for everyone.

KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

Day 8 - 10

The Kruger is probably the most popular national park in the world and one of the largest protected areas in South Africa. It is visited by more than 1.5 million visitors a year, and it is easy to see why. With a diverse ecosystem - the park has 16 different ecozones - home to 145 species of mammals and almost 500 species of birds in an area of 19,500 km², the Kruger is a wildlife lover's paradise. Although the park is very large, it is easily accessible due to its excellent road network.

DURBAN

Day 12 - 14

South Africa’s third largest city and the busiest port of the country, cosmopolitan and fun-loving Durban attracts visitors with its golden sandy beach and rich cultural history. Home to the largest population of Indians outside of India, the diverse city is full of colourful marketplaces and excellent eateries. As well as its Indian influences, Durban embraces its African roots, with a range of galleries offering some of the best traditional Zulu crafts in the country as well as local street vendors selling vegetables and spices.

PORT ELIZABETH

Day 16 - 18

Port Elizabeth is one of the largest cities in South Africa, situated in the Eastern Cape Province. The city, often abbreviated to PE was founded in 1820 by British settlers as a way of defending the region between Xhosa and Cape Colony. The city is along the coast and has many beautiful beaches, all within a day's drive.There are also many historic attractions linked by the Donkin Heritage Trail, including the Bell Tower which was built in 1923 to commemorate the arrival of the British settlers.

JEFFREYS BAY

Day 18 - 20

Jeffreys Bay is located within the Cacadu District on the Sunshine Coast of South Africa. Also known as J-Bay, the town is famous for surfing, white sand beaches and an abundance of sea shells. The town became popular with surfers after the 1966 movie Endless Summer.
