FAIRVIEW (UTAH)

Fairview is in Central Utah. Founded in 1859. The town's high elevation provided a fair enough view of the valley to inspire the choice of name in 1864. The first settlers from Mt. Pleasant had named the site North Bend. Fairview became the center of a wealthy agricultural district which in 1900 supported four general stores, one furniture store, one harness shop, two hotels, one butcher shop, a plaining mill, half a dozen steam sawmills, situated at different points in the mountains, good public schools and a great number of comfortable homes.

A vast and magnificent natural wonder, first declared a National Monument in 1923 before being given its status as a National Park in 1928, Bryce Canyon is one of the most spectacular as well as the most popular destinations in Utah’s Canyon Country. One of the park’s highlights are the ‘Hoodoos’, long and thin rock formations which can be admired from a natural amphitheatre. Even better, visit at dawn - the rocks are known to shimmer and change colour in the rays of the rising sun.

Kanab is a small town in the Canyon Country region of the state of Utah, in the United States of America.
