ROCHESTER (NEW YORK)

GETTYSBURG

Day 10 - 11

The town of Gettysburg is synonymous with the tragic bloody battles of the American Civil War in 1863, which marked a turning point in the history of the country. Abraham Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address here later that year, which is now marked by a memorial at the Gettysburg National Cemetery. A must for those interested in American history, the town features enough monuments and museums sure to keep you busy for a day or two.

WASHINGTON, D.C.

Day 11 - 13

The capital of the USA, best-known for being home to the three branches of its government, is a contrasting, surprising and cosmopolitan city. Monumental buildings line the wide and spacious streets, and the plethora of museums illustrate the rich and complicated history of the country. With a flourishing bar and restaurant scene waiting to be discovered, and many green spaces and charming neighbourhoods, Washington D.C is a worthwhile stop.

PHILADELPHIA

Day 13 - 14

The cradle of the independence of the United States yet often overshadowed by other cities such as New York or Washington D.C, Philadelphia has come into its own and is now an up-and-coming and exciting city. With an impressive culinary scene and a rich culture with great music, theatre and art shows, Philly is full of hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
